Plastic Drums – SCHÜTZ ECODRUMS

Schutz Ecodrum

SCHÜTZ DSL supplies the full range of SCHÜTZ ECODRUM’s throughout the Australia and the South East Asia. These plastic drums are available in a 120 litre or 220 litre sizes and have many key features such as:

  • Higher stress crack resistance
  • Higher chemical resistance
  • Increased stacking stability
  • Increased safety features ie. upper ring design increases bung protection during transport and handling
  • Easier removal of residual contents (<100 ml).

The SCHÜTZ ECODRUMS offer optimum processing for users. Their advancement in performance over comparable models is primarily due to the use of the new multimodal polyethylene Histif 5431Z, by Basell. SCHÜTZ has been in cooperation with Basell to develop this new technology and has been produced by the innovative Advanced Cascade Process Technology. Plastic drums outside SVRs and other plastic drums

The Small Volume Refillable (SVR) containers carry less than 400Litres and are generally around 100 and 120 litres in size. They are particularly suited to the agricultural chemical industry where the colour coded drums are refilled with the same product within a closed loop system. Automated SVR reconditioning facilities are located in Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane and storage areas are available at SCHÜTZ DSL sites for high seasonal volumes.

Dedicated reconditioning plants for plastic containers are based at the following sites in Australia: Fremantle (WA), Melbourne (Vic) and Brisbane (Qld) offering a national network for users.

SCHÜTZ DSL manages a wide range of plastic containers, materials and fittings, including:

  • Small Volume Refillables (SVRs) from 55L to 110L
  • Regrind HDPE from non-reusable containers
  • Componentry for SVRs e.g. valves, couplers, suction dip tubes etc.
  • SCHÜTZ PE Drums (200 litre plastic drums)

Steel Drums

SCHÜTZ DSL’s Steel Division has operated for more than 35 years providing a comprehensive range of fully reconditioned 205 litre (44 gallon) steel drums from its automated reconditioning plant in Perth, Western Australia.

SCHÜTZ DSL's steel drums suit all needs for the packaging or storage of a wide variety of products including dangerous goods.

SCHÜTZ DSL is licensed to supply reconditioned drums suitable for the storage and transportation of dangerous goods in UN-approved packaging groups II and III.

A full range of steel drums and parts are available including:

  • Open head drums
  • Closed head drums
  • Plastic liners
  • Lids and Bands
